Body, Paint & Styling Help removing old gear gaiter

  1. Hi,

I have recently purchased a used CR-V. 2009 UK model with Manual Transmission. The car is great but has a worn gear gaiter. I thought it would be relatively easy to replace with one of these:

However I cannot work out how to remove the old gaiter. I can get as far as removing the air con control panel quite easily but don't know where to go from there. Can anyone explain or post pictures showing how to do it?

I've trawled the internet for a solution but can only find this which doesn't actuall describe how to do the bit after removing the air con panel.
