    Guys!

I've noticed my car locks itself if I use the fob then don't place my key in the ignition.

Well, I just stepped out to look into a possible issue under the bonnet there, and I've locked my only set of keys in the car.

I have the bonnet open, would disconnecting the battery help?

Oh dear mate, I did the same thing with the boot a couple of weeks back and had a minor panic till I realised I had a spare key. Disconnecting the battery won't help as it won't do anything to the central locking other than disable it.

What the AA and most roadside companies do is slide in an inflatable bag into the top of the front door A pillar, and then inflate enough to pry the door party open before sticking in a small arm to either pull up the door locking pin, or hit the internal central locking button.

Seriously hope someone here knows a clever trick I'm unaware of.

    Panic over!

I managed to get in causing no damage.

Removed window trim , took hook end of coat hanger, shoved it down and pulled up. 2 mins.

    Frighteningly easy!

Wow, props to you Rob. I'd be waiting by the car for the AA about now. Happy to hear you got it sorted.

Didn't the alarm go off? Or do you have to double lock for that feature?

Nah, it didn't. But I did quickly grab the keys and press unlock and immediately threw them in my pocket. Just in case!

    Fair enough, still somewhat worrying.

I'm not that worried mate, it's an 800 shed, doubt it'll be stolen.
