    I never said they were any use. Perhaps is the operative word, bit it was a Honda.

    The toothpaste one isn't new, this has been around for years.
    You can also use Brasso, it's because it is slightly abrasive.

    I have used all sorts of normal household products to clean cars but as with anything it does pay to read what the ingredients are and have an understanding of what some chemicals can do.

    Some of these tips are rubbish but what did people use before Maguire's and Bilt Hammer were around? :Wink:

    Yahoo isn't exactly known for its journalistic excellence now is it?

    I remember reading a few articles plagued with grammar and spelling errors! Their only half decent reporting is from the football sections. That said I might try the toothpaste on headlamps trick.
