I'm after a large luggage hauler that I can convert into a camper for travelling. Unfortunately the Acty is too small and I'm not a fan of the Elgrand. I wonder if there's something else sitting in Honda's JDM treasure trove I'm not aware of?

Funny you should ask, been looking for something myself, not sure of your budget but here a couple of JDM Hondas that might suit your needs.

What a collection, I'd only come across a couple of these in the past. You've given me a great deal to think about.

The Stepwgn Camper looks very interesting and obviously purpose built, though I'm not too keen on the shape or style (the competition here is the Mitsubishi Delica, but I really want to stick by beloved Honda). Elysion looks like a great possibility, K24 i-VTEC ripe for LPG too, though with a £10k price tag on that particular import it's definitely out of budget. The Stepwgn Aero is one hell of a bulky box, but does look quite striking and cosy on the inside.

The SM-X was one of the first I looked at, unfortunately it's too small. Same goes for the Mobilo and Freed. Stream is out of the question (as is the MDX and Odyssey) because I really want a flat floor from back to front. The NBOX Camper Neo looks hilariously cute, too small and not for me, but I best not let the missus catch wind of it

It's looking like a Stepwgn variant as the best possibility - just wish Honda made something as striking and versatile as the Delica:

I won't be moving on it for a while yet anyway but trying to plan ahead :Hey:

Hi guys, bit of a necro i know but figured this was the correct place.

I've fallen in love with the Honda Elysion prestige 3.5 and wanted to convert one to a camper (Shock Horror )

Looks like parts will be a complete nightmare. Windscreen, brakes, air filter all not uk stock and my local dealership has saud it could take up to 6 months for parts :Frown:

So whilst im now going through the completely gutted phase of this potentially not to happen relationship. Im really hoping for someone to be able to point me at companies in europe thay can help me source parts. Im guessing anyone that owns an odyssey will be facing the same problems. I've just heard from an insurance company that they have written off odysseys just because of a cracked windscreen.... 0.o crazy

I've started to see 2.4's being imported in the uk ( granted only 3 recently) and i can't believe car dealerships that specialise in jap imports havent thought about parts before potentially recieving a major backlash.

Please please come to my rescue or let me know if its a really bad idea

Glass for JDM cars is like rocking horse dump.. I feel for you matey as you have said insurance companies do care they just happily write them off as it one less headache for them to get the car back to good condition.

JDM running parts should not take 6 months max 2 weeks speciality parts yes that is an unknown. Why don't you try our resident club Honda Parts specialist @Holdcroft Honda ? You have to be patient too when it come to niche JDM car, if they were more mainstream liek FD2 , EK9 DC5 then you have layers of people offering bits.

I'll have get into a whole new acronyms and platform numbers, currently at the noob stage of my journey

Is Holdcroft Honda the guys in stoke on Trent? They look like a standard dealership or maybe I'm looking at the wrong page?

Just tried lexan as a replacement material for the windscreen but its not road legal in the UK ... Massive boo :Frown: has anyone else looked into different materials that are road legal? I'm going to have a ganders now

Give them a call, ask for parts (Lee, Gareth or Martin) and tell them you're a HK member.
