I've been suspecting this since I first heard Honda was returning to F1 as an engine supplier. I figure the CR-Z model either has to come to an unceremonious end in North America or it has to be done up to compete with the FR-S/Fiesta category. Automatic CR-Zs sit unsold on dealer lots with below dealer cost pricing and 3 year old 30,000 mile stick shifts are sold in like new condition for $11,000. It's a tremendous deal but still no one wants them. My only fear is that it will get reincarnated into an Acura Integra (which has also been hinted at in recent months) and sold for Acura premium money.

It would be great to fit these with the small 1.5 turbo engines, would be a pocket rocket like the old CR-X.
