    I knew Honda used to rebadge Isuzu Passport as Honda Passport before they launched the Pilot. but never knew they rebadged the Trooper as well.

    IIRC the 1.7 I-CDTI engines was basically Isuzu while the later 2.2 I-CDTI & iDTECs were Honda's own designs?..

    I thought the CDTI was a blank paper design? I'm pretty certain the 1.7 was a crate Isuzu engine, and not a particularly good one at that!

    yes yes I just amended my post. :Smile: 1.7 was an engine they got in return for supplying ULEV V6s to GM.

    Isuzu supplied 'Technical Support' for the new aluminum block engines
