found out aircon can not be regass, has a small split in piperunning along the bottom of the condenser rad.small pipe 7.5mm dia.has a sensor block in line and goes back to baulkhead where i can remove pipe. Question is it possible to cut out split and replace with an inline connection of some sort. has new is going to cost £100 plus from honda.
after all its only ali pipe .must be some kind of fixture to withstand the pressure.thanks for looking

I would also suggest a replacement pipe, however when it comes to Air conditioning it always best practice to use brand new parts. Dust and grime are the biggest enemies for any aircon uinit.

Once that grime dust and shrapnel etc enter the system it will ruin the compressor and you will never be able to get the grime out even after replacing them with brand new parts.

prevention is better than the cure..
