Civic has qualified 3rd on its first ever outing.. fingers crossed for the race.
Good luck to the guy.
It doesn't look like a standard Type-R. I take it there's a modded body and other goodies under the bonnet.
It's a heavily modified US spec Civic body with a race prepped Honda motor with around 600bhp, tougher suspension and other stuff. IIRC the radiator and other cooling bits are stuffed in the boot as on the front they are susceptible to damaged from all the bashing these cars go through.
Apparently they can reach 60mph in 1.9seconds and can withstand 70ft jumps. No electronic aids allowed.
Wouldn't mind seeing it in action if you find any you tube or videos then post them up.
Didn't know they had one, that is really cool, is this 4WD or been converted to RWD?
they are AWD

After Race 1 & 2 Honda stands at 3rd position but 1st race they had a mechanical issue but in 2nd race they got 3rd position. Not bad for a new entry!

Just renamed the title of thread to Honda Motorsports Thread so we can talk about all kinds of stuff..
First up.. Honda cars have been found non compliant to WTCC rules hence all their recent points have been taken away!!
Honda excluded from Hungary and Morocco results
Someone in comments sums it up nicely 'Ridiculous........once again the European manufacturers and organizers ganging up on the Japanese' true or not that is funny!
In another news Jenson had a near death experience... Rosberg's car lifted a drain cover off due to downforce which hit Jenson's car low down and destroyed the front wing etc.. . Alonso called it a wake up call for organizers to consider closed canopies because if it was higher up.. something utterly catastrophic might have happened.
I don't think Honda have breached the FIA ruling on the flat floor guidelines it will be appealed and common sense will prevail, just yet again they can stand anything else than Citroen wining!
Separate names with a comma.
