What is the best place to buy colour matched paint?
Have my rear spoiler to spray.
Answered your own question there
Could have went to Halfords
Any reputable paint vendor can provided you with the correct colour code id you give them your paint code which is found on the VIN plate.
Just for your info paints are blended at the shops via a formula recipe they are not ready made off the shelf in tins.. You tell them you need for example one liter they will measure and weigh the correct ingredients and mix up the paint for you.
Honda dealer won't do it mate..they only do touch up paint sticks provided your colour code is in stock.
Where do you live I can find out the colosed auto paint vendor.
http://www.alphapaintsupplies.co.uk/ get dupont ,PPG or Sikkens they are all good water based paints.
NP bud, let us know how you get along and what paint you get and costs please.
DdP, CJ's option would be my first choice.
If you go to Halfords,
It's worth checking when they last had there scales checked/calibrated, just to make ensure they use the correct mix
Also, that the trained person is doing it ?
Are they trained in Halfords?
Thread hijack, I'm going to refurb my wheels shortly and want to use a genuine Honda colour. More than likely Carbon Bronze Pearl which has only ever been used in the states. Should it still be easy for a UK vendor to colour match?
They actually are surprisingly, one of my closest friends works in Halfords and does a lot of the paint mixing. I've also heard stories from her of them screwing up colour matching quite badly and taking 3 attempts to get it right. She's also nice enough to give me her 25% discount when needed
