It depends on case to case basis Dave, there is no set rules as the name suggest as its gesture of goodwill the parameters are always varied.

However you get consistent results when the car is in warranty period , outside that period you are prioritised after an internal investigation.

My advise to anyone who has applied for GOGW don't rock the boat to much let Honda take their time to respond.

Dave you also please STOP have the same titles of threads on two forums please this has been a practice for sometime and it has to stop. ..please

Regards to goodwill gesture Honda UK have offered me a new DPF filter for £250 should be £950 but i must pay for labour but did not know what to do Honda Leeds have told me its 3hrs labour £114 per hr also needs gaskets?? and oil so overall total getting high between £500-£600 i would imagine.
They also told me after the forced regen they did on my DPF that it should be fine now. So was in a bit of a dilemma if should change or not. Hence how long could go i before excepting there offer, so i could monitor the DPF ??
I actually phoned Thursday morning regards to my rear parking sensor been faulty they phoned back in 40mins asked about the quote i had and any-other problems with the car i mentioned the DPF regen they phoned Honda Leeds then phoned me back in the hour and told me they would meet all the costs regarding the parking sensor and then offered me a new DPF filter for £250 i was amazed at this. I have had goodwill gestures in the past regards to my 7th Generation but they were all extended warranty issues which had lapsed.
VSA module manifold etc. So unsure what to do regards to the DPF cars got 70k on are the DPF's designed to last the life of the car ?? or a certain amount of miles.

WHAT for that price id fly my mechanic over from ireland and he would have it fitted in under 3/4 an hour and still have a nice few bob for a :Tea: that price is just ridiculous. my advice would be buy the DPF off them for £250 get it fitted by your local mechanic then go back to dealer for a regen and reset parameters. also we never have needed to replace the gaskets. or i would ring honda uk back and request the work to be done at another dealer and tell them the labour rate you were quoted.

I did say to the dealer I would take the DPF for the price Honda Uk said and have it fit at a later date if I have anymore trouble with mine, they said I could not do this as they after send the DPF they replace back to Honda UK for tests. I am going to have a talk this week with them when they do my rear parking sensor. In the past when had goodwill work done the dealer has done the work at £56 hr the same as they charge Honda Uk.
So the gaskets don't need changing either???

I know mate but Leeds is not an expensive place for labour, but that is one reason why people in Leeds won't use the main dealers.

I have history with the dealer in Leeds and least said the better.

Neither will the folks in Wakefield!!!!!
This is obviously the one and only Shhhhhhhhhh no names. That seems pretty steep fir labour charges have you tried phoning round ie Holdcroft or there's Harrats in Wakefield or the one in Huddersfield their name always escapes me.
I had similar when my headlights were replaced for misting. S & B in wakefield said they wanted £85 labour I said it's a warranty issue rang HUK and bingo free fitting.
