I did get a bit of ribbing for the Accord from one of my friends. He's been silent on that subject since I took him out in it.

21 and you were driving an Accord, you didn't by any chance smoke a pipe and wear a trilby, did you?, only kidding but maybe you were old before your time, ha ha.

Dude at 21 if you are handed keys to a brand new accord you will take it. On hindsight i wish it was not in a horrid green.

    I was 29 when I got my 06 7th Generation 2.0iVTEC SE. Lovely car. 32 when I got my 2 8th Gens (first written off at 7 moths old!:Sobbing:. Here's my 7th Generation:

My current 8th Generation is in the Garage photo section. Still get the ribbing about it being an "old man's car" but this is from Vauxhall Insignia and Astra drivers at work mainly (also the Fix Or Repair Daily owners on occasion) so you've got to sympathise with their automotive inferiority complex! Jealousy is an unflattering trait as I keep telling them ! I get plenty of my own back with smug comments about quality and reliability when ther cars are in the garage evey 2 weeks with yet another fault! They can't even imagine what 40,000 trouble free miles must be like! Also I can find my car straight away in the car park as it's not a black or silver Insignia!

Would it be fair to say if Honda were to get the US 9th Generation to the UK it needs youth as well as sensibilities to cater to the varying age groups.

It clear the Honda Accord cannot be labeled as a old man car it has something for everyone. I personally need to see the Accord again being the front runner in Honda technological advancements currently the new CR-V and Civic are clearly leading the new technologies being showcased.

It was not too long ago Accords had the first run of all the technologies after the Legend, how the pecking order has changed.

Got my 1st Generation when I was 24, most my mates drove escorts and mini,s always like to be different, It did seem a bit old man at the time but most of them were impressed, even one mate bought one and also my brother after a while, jap cars were just really starting to take off and people still held reserve on them.
