    I don't understand the need to remove the screws in steps 2 & 3. I looked at a YouTube video and you just push the top sides of the glove box inwards to enable the glove box to be lowered and access the pollen filter. See

    There is no need to remove any screws. Just unclip the glove box dampener, push the edges of it in and it will fold down naturally and won't damage itself. Then just push the clips of the pollen filter carrier intowards each other and pull it out.

    No idea why there is a mention to remove any screws.

    It already states you don't have to remove them read the guide , so there is no confusion. If you did remove one side as mentioned you are just making sure the glove box is supported by both hinges and not one which will cause it to flex.
