Thats Gauteng for you @RogerH69

I remember a female friend who asked for her engine oil to be topped up - they filled the engine to the top, as in, overflowing. In South Africa, when you get fuel, attendants put the fuel in your car, clean your windscreen, check fluid levels etc. I never once let them under the bonnet of my cars.

Actually - when I got my car valeted, they also washed the inside of the door with the pressure hose. I was in the car at the time and a bit shocker when he opened the back door and started doing it, but surprisingly, very little water actually got into the car. He even did my door with me in the driver's seat and I barely felt the mist from the spray, never mind any drops of water.

I don't let anyone wash my cars.

I have this for any trips to the garage/dealers. One of the guys on here uploaded it when I first joined.

I've seen car washes do this as well and yes they do actually manage to avoid get any water (or at least very little at all) inside the car !

I've seen them do this at local car washes round my way too. Another good reason to avoid them IMHO...

But what about door electrics like speakers, elec windows, mirrors etc? Seems silly to me!

Also what happens if your car is lined with felt, that will just get really damp and make the car humid?

I guess Kia's are basically 100% plastic to be fair

I can confirm Kia's are very plasticky indeed, theres probably a 5mm speaker behind the 20mm speaker grille.

For some cars I would just put that thing in forward gear and just drive over the cars LOL
