I-DTEC fuel filter is located in the engine room, on the left side of the car, just between firewall and shock absorber room, but for dismount it you must have special tool or you will broke the top of filter ( cover ) and have to order new one. To lift the car is recomended, you have to dismount the arm between shock absorbers.

This diagram for a Tourer Auto seems to suggest it's in the same place as on a Saloon

It is, on the diagram you cannot see location, only parts. It's located in all I-DTEC's in the same way, in the same place, i'm changig it daily...

So it's in a different location depending upon whether the vehicle has an automatic transmission, or is manual? How odd!

If your car is a automatic then the fuel filter is near the fuel tank and you have to get the car jacked up to get access.
