Does anyone have any instructions on how to replace the rear vent console?

    VENT.

Seriously damaged mine at the weekend (damn loose load!) and it has a deep nasty scratch that cannot be repaired. Bought a replacement panel (see pic).

Any instructions on how to replace/change this would be duly welcome....(Looks in @Ichiban 's direction!!).

    Thank you in advance.:Niceone:

    Centre Console Removal/Installation
1 Slide both from seats to the rearward to access the front console trim.
2 From the front portion of the centre console, detach the clips (A) by pulling out the front console trim (B)with a trim tool.
    NOTE:
    • When removing components, use the trim tool or equivalent
    • Take care not to scratch the centre console, dashboard, and related parts.

3 Gently pull out the front console trim (A) to detach the clips (B, C) from the console, and remove the trim.
4 Disconnect the sub harness connector (D), and detach the harness clip. ( For the job you are doing you may not need to do this.
    5 Remove the bolts.

6 Open the shutter (A), then remove the console box mat (B) and bolts.
7 Foot parking brake type: Lift up the centre console (C), and remove it.

Right for 4th Generation this is it

    1. Centre Console Rear Trim - Remove use a trim lever to undo these clips.

    2. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.

    Simple really.

Managed to replace my (badly scratched) rear vent panel.

Took all of 2 mins to swap them over thanks in part to the handy trim removal tool(s). Tempted to see if I can do some DIY-LED fitting into the old damaged unit during the Bank Holiday weekend!

Thanks again CJ for the simple, but much needed diagram!

What this thing? Is it for rear illumination? It's 2 wires that go into a small plastic box that doesn't seem to do anything.

    @TheDarkKnight any ideas?

Believe they are terminals for the USB/etc in the cubby hole up front. Illumination pack wiring is different I believe.

I had the block out and it seems to be some sort of electrical component like a relay type of thing. It's molded the same way as a relay switch we had at work. I think I found another in the boot at the back in the center under the carpet. I needed an earth so used that. I thought the usb wires went straight to the stereo so I'm still unsure what it is.

I think the blocks are for the wireless key system.

I would safely say it the bluetooth antenna for the car.

Thats by the gear stick with a big label on it saying bluetooth. They could still be part of it I suppose.
