No one is showing you what happen, must have been bad.

I remember when I saw Roland Ratzenberger crash for the first time, just awful.

The nearest you will get is the one with arrow pointing to behind the tractor. They must be withholding all footage.

The pictures in the paper look bad, the air box has been ripped off from just above his head. So he must have gone under the rear end of the tractor.

Fingers crossed for a speedy and full recovery, never good to see or read this. Reminds me of the Senna crash, felt like a member of the family had been in an accident at the time :-(

Seems quite a bad accident by the sound of it, hope he's going to be OK.

I can kind of understand that it may be too hot for the other guys to help but surely to God other drivers could have stopped to help seeing as they've got fire retardant kit on?

Seen that before and it's just tragic, you can see how helpless he feels. Sorry to harp on about racing, but when you have raced you get this feeling of brotherhood and when something happens like this you feel as hard hit sometimes as if it was a member of your family, there is ultimate respect in the racing world for others whether you get on with them or not. That video demonstrates that.

@ArcticFire I often wonder why they didn't too, James Hunt did it for Niki Lauda. But thankfully times have changed with vast improvements in safety and safety crews.
Official line is not to stop and leave it to the marshals so you don't add to the accident, hard to do when it's a close and good friend.

Thats a truly tragic video, the feelings of helplessness must have been so overwhelming.

I understand the official line of not stopping, but as you say, if its a close and personal friend. Aside from which, if you knew that you could help save a life and walked away, I know I would personally struggle to live with that decision. I would help and deal with any consequences afterwards. At least I have known I have saved a life, someones husband/wife, etc. Nothing much, priority wise, comes above that really.

Lets just hope he pulls through ok in the end.

I remember seeing Sennas crash live on TV as a youngster, used to love watching the GP with my old man.

I've now seen the video, not intentionally but have seen it. It's a big impact that actually lifts the tractor that is already moving a crashed car from the circuit. Green flag being held out too.

Just saw the video on youtube. Its filmed by a spectator watching the tractor removing the car. Video shows Jules Bianchi car clipping the rear of the tractor, where the ballast is, and the ballast ripping the air intake clean off. His head looks like it hit the ballast at a hell of a speed. Thats not good.

won't post the link to keep this clean
