    Hi Guys,

I have been reading a lot in this great forum and before in some others. Unfortunately (or luckily, as you want to see it) the legend is quite rare and also the information you can get about it.
I am thinking of buying a Legend end of this year (if everything works) and want to have a different set of wheels for the summer season.
Since we have a complex bureaucracy here in Austria i can only use some specified rims, so the choice is limited.
    Anyway:
I was thinking of getting at least 8,5x19" rims with 245/40R19 tyres or (only one type available) 9x20" rims with 245/335R20 tyres.

I read in some of the threads that the Legend has a firmer ride and that 18" should be enough.
    What do you think?
Has someone 19" or even 20"?

    Thanks.

I too would be intrested in this combo, the ride will be stiff that's a given.

Yeah. I know some in Germany have 19", on guy told me, the drive is just great.
Another has 20", he didn't say anything...
And in Amuuuurriicca some have even 22", which is just crazy.

I don't want to have a ride that is to firm and harsh, but a bit of sportyness would be fine.

    btw:

I have 19"s, (with H&R springs) these are BMW`s rims, same size front and rear. Hardest part is to find rims that clear those front calibers.

    Hi Maintenanceman,

    Thanks for your answer...
How wide are your wheels and tires? 8,5 or 9 x 19" on 245 or 255?
How would you describe the ride? Nice and firm or too harsh?

@Remedy, this site should be valuable in figuring out what will fit compared to stock while not poking out to much, and maintaining a good enough offset to clear the calipers

    Those are 8,5`s with 245`s.
Ride is firm, not too harsh and won't rub even with full load in the car.

    What does this mean?^^,

Here in Austria we need to have a manufacturer's certificate in order to be allowed to used the wheels/tires.
The only ones available are the AEZ Yacht (in 8,5x19), the OZ Superturismo LM (8x18, maybe too sporty, and 'only' 18") and the Brock B21 (in 9x20) - see here ( reifenshop.at - Markenreifen, Kompletträder und Felgen supergünstig | Alu Felgen ).

A guy in Germany has the AEZ Yacht in 8,5x19, I think they look fine.

This looks good, I love the legends understatement looks...^^,

I'm not sure on the tyre sizes you've chosen, but for the AEZ Yacht 19x8.5j that you linked to, I'd use 235/40 which gives you barely any difference to stock:

    ExistingNew
    Diameter666.8mm670.6mm
    Circumference2094.8mm2106.8mm
    Poke46.6mm68mm
    Inset156.6mm148mm

    Reading at 60mph 60mph59.66mph
    Ride height gain 0mm1.9mm
    Arch gap loss 0mm1.9mm
I'm not sure on the regulations you have out there, but if you're limited to manufacturer wheel and tyre sizes, you'd need to use one of the following:

Tire Rim Bolt pattern THD CB
    235/50 R17 8x17 ET55 5x120 M14 x 1.5 64.1
    245/45 R18 8x18 ET50 5x120 M14 x 1.5 64.1
    245/40 R19 8.5x19 ET45 5x120 M14 x 1.5 64.1

I used 245/40 R19 for both comparions, didn't know those were also approved by Honda.
In the 'Honda approved list' we have only the 17" and 18", so the 19" should be quite ok.
I think the 20" wheels are maybe too much and the guys here are quite strict....

The 235/40 R19 tyres are more expensive than the 245/40 R19 for some reason...^^,

I'd say 20" would affect the ride quality too much personally, you'll feel absolutely everything from the road.

Must be a more common size I guess, stick with the approved for sure then.
