For all cricket fans was this a good move or basically an admission the ECB, the coach and the training staff that they could not get to grips in managing him properly.

So they have used him as scapegoat for the humiliating 5 nil whitewash in the Ashes.

Not good at all CJ, he'll be missed for sure, the guy has talent in abundance. He just needed to be managed better.

    Check out his switch hits

I know mate he had the passion which the others lack in the team, they have handled it all wrong and sacked with a lame excuse..yes he is a lose cannon but see beyond that.

He's been pouched by Surrey for the T20 Blast. I can just see him using that to give the two fingered salute to England by bringing out all his vast range of power shots.

It's a mad decision. Adam Gilchrist was on the radio the other day, saying that it would never happen in Australia and that they were amazed.

He's a talented maverick. Retiring him is an admission that there isn't anybody at the ECB who has strong enough man management skills.
