Okay I've just used Kwik Fit. They were the cheapest for Goodyear Eagle F1, they matched the cheapest I could get online and they had them in stock plus they're five mins from my house. I was surprised to find they've had the latest Hunter alignment system fitted so I accepted the 'free' check. As it happens mine was absolutely bang on, the lad doing it talked through all the measurements and how they effect the car but obviously had nothing to do...unlike the A6 before mine that turned the screen red (there's live data on a screen in reception). For the first time, I was actually quite impressed with a tyre basher company.

Great tyres those F1's - good to hear some good stories about Kwik Fit for once as well.

Only nipped about so far so no real test but they are loads quieter than the Kuhmos they replaced. That combined with my new exhaust means the car is very quiet indeed!

I'm always repping Kwik-Fit for alignments, they all use Hunter gear and regularly calibrated too. They do so many in a day they're more than up for the task.

The only thing is if you have aftermarket camber arms, adjustable front upper ball-joints/arms and all the rest - they can be funny about doing adjustments not on the spec list. I'm going to be using a specialist race-orientated outlet for tracking mine again when it's eventually lowered (likely the one used recently by @Ichiban).

I've also used Kwik-fit recently for the same reason - cheap Goodyear F1's. I wasn't as fortunate with the alignment check as mine was out so agreed to pay £40 to adjust correctly.

Still, overall a better experience than I expected.

F1's are popular! Best all round tyre on the market?

Just to add some balance to the Kwik Fit love; I was there nearly two hours, during that time they completed four MOTs, all four failed. Of course that's a small sample so could be just how they landed but I don't think they need much to fail a car!
