    Hello
I'm reluctant to post this thread, although I'm fairly sure I'm not breaking any forum rules, I know how 'chinese junk' is often (correctly) perceived as illegal, unsafe... Junk.

This one, however, has piqued my interest.

I've had several xenon retrofits (chinese junk) over the years and I've gone back to standard bulbs for the sake of legality and safety (mine and other road users alike).

Assuming the reviews this product has are genuine, then I might be willing to give them a try. What do you think?

[ I used tinyurl to prevent amazon parsing the product description into the post and every muppet under the sun searching for led headlights ending up here ]

Someone has to take the jump to see if they good, the three reviews left suggest that but not sure if LED headlight bulbs are that reliable.

I have to admit I've been happy with some of the xenon retrofits for a while, especially on the 407 as that had projector lights.

These LED bulbs are also for sale on aliexpress and there's a lot more reviews on there, all very positive although have to use Google translate as they seem to be Russian buyers.
I've decided to buy a pair and I'll let you know what I think.
If they turn out to be rubbish I shouldn't have a problem getting a refund and I'll also add a review of my own!
The thing that's swayed it for me is the focus / adjuster ring - I always thought my xenons would be awesome if I could just tweak the fillament placement.
    Regards
    B.

They came today... I only had my lunch break to get them in and I ran into a couple of problems.

The base is removable and you clip that in and then screw the light into it.
There is a grub screw in the base to lock the light in place but it's impossible to get to the screw because the headlight housing is in the way.
Does anyone know to get the headlight housing out or how difficult it is to remove?
    Cheers

I always assumed LEDs couldn't project far enough for road use. Or am I wrong?

I think the likes of audi etc already have some models on the road with led headlights.

Steady on there, you're not allowed to suggest that German cars may have more advanced features...

    In.
I used electrical tape on half of the thread... Lovely and tight now.

I finish work at 11pm tonight so I'll have a play when it's dark. I got some comparison pics of the halogens last night.

Here's a quick pic of the new lights.....

For anyone wondering why I've blurred the plate in my pic but not on my profile pic, the car has a new plate now

So far I'm very impressed, they've exceeded my expectations.
Giving the bulbs a twist (small adjustment) while they're on allows you to get the beam pattern just right.

I think I will be keeping these. I know it;s hard to tell from pics but I'd really appreciate any opinions

Great pictures, I can definitely see an improvement. My only concern would be if there's any glare issues for oncoming vehicles, which I can't be absolutely sure about. Mind you, I'm always getting dazzled by cars fitted with HIDs anyway, and I'm guessing that many of these occasions are due to retrofits?

They don't seem any worse than the halogens to be honest.
Nobody flashed me last night and I went for a spin out of town.
Also there's none of that shimmer and sparkle you get with the HID kits.
    Cheers
