Yes bud 8th Generation and 7th Generation share the same bulbs so they will work.

I fitted LEDs in the brake lights of my 6th Generation coupe - but they caused the dashboard bulb failure lamp to light. Apparently you can put in resistor ballasts to simulate having a normal incandescent bulb to get round this problem. Does the 7th Generation complain with LEDs in the same way?

The 7th Generation doesn't have bulb failure warning does it?

Has anyone done symmetrical rear lights i.e. two fog or reverse? Had thought that LEDs would allow for this (VW Passat rear indicator)

Been thinking about this, getting a inner reverse light off a LHD then put a red LED bulb in it, but it's getting hold of one for a reasonable price. I'm not desperate to do this even though I think it looks loads better but can't be bothered to spend the £150 on fleabay and having it shipped from US. Maybe when I have the time and motivation.

Has anyone tried the 501 or Reverse bulbs in Cree? wondered as I find the SMD bulbs a little to dull and the Cree option although more expensive are far far brighter.
If anyone has got them would you be willing to share where you got them from as don't want to buy off ebay as there are far to many fakes with 1w chips

    Thanks

I've been thinking about this too. But then you'll loose either fog either reverse light? Or I miss something... ?
