    Hello
Apparently this is a common fault. A noisy/whining gearbox.

Has anyone had this problem repaired to sorted out.
How much would it cost for to repair this fault/problem.

Have Honda written to owners of these cars to bring the cars to the dealers to prevent the problem from happening?
Is there any sort of goodwill gesture from Honda?

    Thanks

PS- apologies if this has been posted more than once. The posts are were not showing up properly.
And it gives this error - Oh, Smeg

I have heard of this before, the bearings go - it is a common well known problem. I don't know if there is a TSB for it, @Ichiban will know more information about it I am sure

£60 worth of bearings and 4 hours work. Not the end of the world.

you're asking the guy that works in a Honda parts department. definitely genuine and not worth trying to source 3rd party, Honda spent a great deal of money ensuring these bearings will last. their design was improved due to the problem you listed in your thread title.

Honda don't make the bearings.... Go to a bearing stockist and match them and get them for pence..

It's just easier to get them from a dealer but you pay the premium.
