Body, Paint & Styling My glovebox won't close properly! FIXED

    This has bugged me for a while, and I'm sure would most of you guys! My glovebox dosent close flush. Any ideas on a fix or how its removed so I can take a look?

    Haha! I thought it would just be a one off case of abuse by a previous owner so didn't bother searching. That will teach me! Thanks :Smile:

    Not a very Honda like problem! Looks fixable though, will put up a guide if I do it! I wish my glovebox had an opening damper like the US one.

    I had a bit of a look at this and have managed to fix it by modifying the latch.

    I took out the glovebox and removed the latch. Then used a small round file to connect the two holes in each of the latch screw points to make a slot. I also had to cut off the plastic alignment posts behind the dash. With the new slots the position of the latch is adjustable. I then had a play around to get a easy close and a flush fit.

    It's something that's affected a number of members. We will have to call it the 'Nauest Fix' :mechanic:

    Glad you all like it! Its nice and easy too. I had no idea it affected so many cars!

    Is it worth putting a brief guide together, just to sum it up in one place?
