General Need help

    Hi I have a 54 plate accord 2.2 ICTDI . yesterday alarm kept going off. Also then car wouldn't start and immobiliser light is flashing. I can after a while get it to start. But engine light is then on.Any ideas

    Hi Rob 1st thing I would look at is your battery as this can cause these systems if it's shot.

    I agree, prime suspect would be the battery.

    Been bookends in with honda. They say either ignition switch or? Miku??? Sent away to be analysed. Any advise

    As @SpeedyGee says....

    Also, the MICU doesnt just blow unless someone has been playing around with the car electronics who shouldnt be playing with them. The Accords are very fussy when they get low on battery power and do all kinds of strange tricks like unlocking the doors by itself, setting the alarm off, VSA lights etc

    Speedy I asked about battery they said it wouldn't be that. To be honest he was only a very young guy. Will look into battery at the weekend. Thanks again

    As I said Rob in my 1st post and others best to check the battery 1st.
    It might be a case the dealer is trying it on.Always go for the simple and cheapest option and look into other things after.
    BTW do you no how old the battery is and is it OEM.
