The difference between there and here is they get that extreme weather for several months every year so it's worth putting the investment in to the machinery. Over here our weather isn't that bad and any weather which would justify buying any type of equipment we only get for a couple of days once every 5 years. It's just not value for money in this country for the few days of disruption.

I was just referring the H&S ,risk assessment culture in our country.look at those clips there is risk involved in shoveling snow. yes we don't have the climate or warranty such an expense of specialist equipment.

What we need is common sense and less of this who is to blame culture.

H&S would have a fit at the spinning wheel on the front of the train, they'd want to put a cover over it and have a half mile exclusion zone

    Politicians love the blame game.
