What do you think about new car brokers. These people source your car. You deal with an authentic Honda dealer, get all the usual Honda guarantees. For instance I have a quote from buyacar.co.uk for a Honda Accord Type-S, ADAS diesal saloon. The quote is £25928 saving 19% off the list price. Customer testimonials seem great..Has anyone gone through these dealers?

Also check out the whatcar.com deal prices, they will put you in touch with a Honda dealer who will do that price.

Be careful of pre reg cars, some dealers have to hold the V5 reg doc for 6 months, which means your insurance is void as you don't own the car.

I don't care how other manufacturers release their cars to the grey market outside their franchisee network. There are some really horrific stories how this practice is undertaken. Honda on the other hand will only release cars via their network of dealers in the UK with one ocaasion where they sold a huge number of Type -S Civic to Arnold Clark at below cost price to clear the stock. Each Honda dealer now has a quota assigned by their regional managers as their targets which includes more of Swindon wagons than Japanese cars.

A few reputable brokers target the weak and fagging dealers with poor sales performance dealers and ask them them to buy their quota of Accord cars. Honda dealer is happy they have flogged their quota at cost price to meet their targets , however majority of these brokers get EU spec cars at cost price and flog them here in the UK but when the punter get to use his warranty they find out they are limited to two years.

So keep bear this in mind and ask questions where they source their cars call up Honda UK and see if they can confirm where the VIN was original for?Remember the VIN numbers are recorded at Honda database which is the real UK spec and not a EU import RHD car.

Honda dealers 95% of the time will beat broker deals after all the brokers have to get the cars from dealers, target Honda dealers with a high turnover they can play with their bonus figures to your advantage.

    Hi Ray,

Also it might be worth waiting until there is an announcement about the 9th Generation, as discounts on 8th Generation will be better. Also do you do the mileage for diesel? Petrol would cost you less.

    regards

    Rich

I wouldn't count on it (discounts I mean).

Looking at 3rd Generation CR-V prices after a couple of months in the wake of the newest CR-V - prices have barely moved. Plus of course there is also the added mystery as to whether the 9th Generation Accord will ever make it to Europe, let alone the UK....who knows.
