    Hi guys,

Maybe you can help me a little bit here, I have this noise at start, on my CL9 MT, is like a squeak shake like vibration - is hard to describe.

You need to have headsets and volume high to hear it (on 3rd second)

It happens only after I drive for a while, and stop and start the engine again. I don't hear it on cold starts.

Also I can't hear it under the hood, maybe the engine noise covers it or I don't know.
I can hear it only from inside the cabin, with the windows and door closed.

I can hear it only at start and not while driving.

    Any idea what can be?

I've only listened to it on the laptop with no head phones but is it the A/C moving the flaps that direct air around ?

I need to listen to it with headphones which I don't have handy at the moment.

Hmm, not sure, but the ventilation (AC) is not turned on. The noise is right when it ignites the engine and it starts.

Found the root cause, one of the transmission mount is broken.

The rubber transmission upper mounting is broken (some months ago I replaced all engine mounts, to much torque ? )
This was causing that slight noise vibration at start.
It was pretty hard to find the source of the noise until the car was elevated. The noise was low and you could hear it only in complete silence

It could be the cat shields they tend to corrode and then rattle that is provided you have the standard cat?

No, I have aftermarket headers and high flow cat.
I already found the source, one of the gearbox mount is broken (mentioned on post #6).
