I got a set of these for my birthday and I must confess they are really good. 9mm - 22mm Capacity 3 Piece Nut Splitter Set | Draper Tools

I've only used them on the motorbike so far but they are loads easier than Dremel/Angle-grinders for removing nuts that heat and Plusgas won't shift. The chisels are fixed so they don't spin like some of the cheaper ones.

You can buy them singly and much cheaper than the Draper site.

I am OCD when it comes to nuts and bolts on bike that is why I remove every single one and lube clean the threads and put them back on. Just for this reason so I don't use these tools.

I may be upscaling to the world of Titanium and save a lot of weight too.

I wouldn't dream of reusing "cut off" bolts on my nice bike, but the all-year commuter bike gets no love or money. However, even if you don't reuse the bolts it's a bit safer to cut them off than slipping with the grinder and leaving cut marks in whatever it's stuck into. LFMF

Oh, and those thread pitch measuring tools are essential for the toolbox. I've saved loads on time and petrol not going back to the fasteners shop for the correct bolt since getting one. Christmas is coming soon, get one on your Amazon/Machine-Mart wish list.
