I have been fortunate enough to have been gifted a set of OEM Honda roof bars (Part Number 08L02SJD600) by a friend who used to have an FR-V that was written off in an accident. (version without roof rails).

Only trouble is he has lost the key to the plastic lock covers that stop the bars being nicked - I can still fit the bars and use them, but they and my roof box are vulnerable to being nicked as anyone with the right size allen key could undo them.

I'm having real difficulty finding a replacement key, coded 'N31'. It seems Thule do an N031, but this is not the same lock - the Honda one in slimmer diamater and shorter than Thule ones, they are not Thule locks.

Does anybody happen to know who makes the cylinder locks for this part? Usual online searches have proven fruitless.

    Long shot, I appreciate!

    Hi @PurpleTurtle
I had the same issue when I bought my FR-V, Only Honda unfortunately. Call Holdcaft Honda and speak to them. I think it was around £30 for 2 keys (possibly with locks but the keys will fit existing)

Thanks - spent 10 mins on the phone (not being answered) to the Parts Dept of my local Honda dealer, and have put an email in to another that I have used for online spares, but nothing committed yet ... any help gratefully received!

My local Honda dealer was useless, Holdcraft Honda is best to ring and they knew straight away what I wanted.

Keys if the lock code is 31 should do it, otherwise key and lock (the lock just slides out if you press the retaining slider). I'll PM you my address if you like - am happy to pay postage etc. Really appreciate your help!

Arrived just now and fitted to the car Chris, you're a top man indeed, has saved me a fair few quid.

I've found this forum to be so helpful. The FR-V is my wife's car, I'm primarily a BMW man and a Honda biker, am on forums for both of those but find Honda Karma to be by far and away the most helpful.

I'm pleased you like our club. It's here for anyone who has a Honda, including generators, lawnmowers etc. although we are still awaiting our first aircraft owner. :Whoosh:
