0w-30 Edge is good, but never Magnatec.

    Why not Magntech?

It's a much inferior type of oil, not truly fully synthetic, a modified ('hydro-cracked') petrochemical rather than being made from a non-petrochemical basestock. Edge is truly fully synthetic and will therefore better satisfy the demands of our engine, such as the turbo bearings. I don't believe Magnatec is available with a 0w cold rating, which can probably only be achieved with a 'real' synthetic oil.

    So 0-30 or 0-40?

Ow-30 is the Honda recommendation that many of us adhere to. The only alternative that some garages/owners do sometimes use is 5w-30 as the cold viscosity is normally ok for the UK climate (and it is a tad cheaper).

0w-40 will put a greater loading on the oil pump drive and make your MPG a little worse. And it's probably the most expensive option.

ACEA C2 0W-30 is the current 1st recommendation, but as @Zebster has said, 5W-30 will be fine too. You do not need the DPF quality oil as you have an I-CTDI.
Definitely go for fully synthetic though, and if you can, change every 6k, not 12.5k/annually.

As already mentioned - 0-30w fully synthetic oil. Castrol edge would be my recommendation
