    Hi all

I'm trying to source the outside air temp sensor for my 2005 2.2 I-CTDI (the one that fits on the front cross member), and having no success so far.

Anyone have any ideas of a part number or maybe what others would refer to it as, in case I'm calling it the wrong thing?

    Many thanks,
    Colin

The external temperature sensor is not on the cross member it in front of the aircon matrix, before you go changing the part check the connection first.

    But it's painful!
Came round a blind bend and was met by not 1, but 2 young deer who simultaneously decided to jump out in front of me.
Slammed on brakes, and luckily, (I use the word loosely), the Eagle asymmetrics that I now swear by, stopped me pretty sharpish.
Not sharpish enough though, as I now need bumper, A/C condenser, Rad, bumper reinforcement, headlight, grille.... the list goes on... Oh, and an outside air temp sensor of course!
The joys of living in the country eh?

At least the upper cross member seems ok, and it looks like a square head on impact and not impacted more to either side so that is good (if a crash can ever be good), limited the damage a bit more.

Poor girl - are you fixing her all yourself?

Poor thing ! I hope it didn't have to suffer in pain all that time.

Keep us posted with progress, Colin. Would be good if you could document the repair as you go.
