Just remembered about this, but I was moving the Accord at the weekend and noticed paint on interior of the driver's door, just below the window. Yep, my dad strikes again.

I'm not sure if it's emulsion or gloss, but I have to assume the worse. So before I tackle this are there any suggestions as I'm guessing most solvents may also ruin the trim.

    Any pictures ?
    On the plastic I presume?

    Emulsions soften with water.
Washing up liquid in hot water and old toothbrush/nail brush ?

Have to give it some thought for gloss :Unknown:

White spirits would be a safe thing to try first. I bought a cheap guitar covered in paint and it just wiped off.

It's the soft touch part where the door handle is etc. Not sure about white spirit as I'm thinking it may damage the trim as may anything that is too solvent. Will panel prep soften or dissolve gloss without wrecking the trim?

Worse case may be to use white spirits very carefully with water on standby to quickly wash the split second it's dissolved before it can attack the trim.
