I turn on the parking sensors when reversing or parking. I thought this was the obvious way, but I was in a pals car recently, and when he drove close to a car in front, his sensor beeped. I remarked that I was surprised that he left them on all the time ; he thought it strange that I only used mine as required (parking or reversing etc.).
What do you members do, on or off !?

On factory fitted parking sensors you have a off button.

Would towing be one of those occasions to turn them off or does the car automatically sense when towing is happening?

Handy for dealers to be able to turn them off because trade plates can sometimes interefere. Also snow, dirt etc can make them beep away.
