So, anyone that's read my garage entry will know I had a lot of grief just trying to install an aftermarket stereo. Thankfully, after a bit of research on my own part (and never trusting a high street chain again), I got it working.

However, I'm still left with the harness adapter that the unnamed high street chain ordered for me as they helpfully kept my receipt when I collected it, only to discover it's the wrong one. So my question is: What car is it meant for? It certainly isn't for mine as the pins in the adapter connection are all wrong. It fits, but there's no connection for the electric aerial (which all 6th Generation Accords have, I'm reasonably sure).

I've found the adapter on a website here:

    And a picture here:
    PC2-90-4.
The reason I ask is that I have no use for this part and wish to find someone that can use it, because presently it resides in my overflowing drawer of crap and I'd like to know what it is I'm advertising to potentially save someone having the same difficulties I did. Sorry for the watermarked picture, too. It's the best one I could find of the connections on both the adapter and euro plug. My part is identical to the one pictured.

    Thanks in advance, guys!

I did spot that, but I am somewhat dim on the subject. From their compatibility chart, it looks like it'll fit the facelift 6th Generation but also the 7th Generation? This is where I got confused. Sadness :Frown:

Yes it seems to be compatible with both 6th Generation Execs and 7th Generation Execs.

I guess they saw no need to change the audio wiring loom for the 7th Generation.

It'd certainly explain why I ended up with it, despite giving my reg and having the "stereo specialist" sit in my car. Still, it's one of those things. Thank you ever so much for clearing that one up for me, man. Here's hoping someone can benefit from it!

    Did you pay by card?

If that's the case, take a copy of your statment in and show it to them... inform them that if they won't refund you, a charge back will be initiated through your bank/card holder. Doesn't hurt to mention the sale and supply of goods act either (look it and quote few parts to them to show you know your rights) They will then be free to collect the item at your convenience.
