    Hi folks,

I visited Chris again today proprietor of Pheonix Close Indepdendent Honda Specialists over Manchester way at J19 of the M62. Of course driving a Honda I'm not there very often but it was time for my Tourer to have its 12,5000 mile service.

As usual with Chris I booked in with him for 10am and as soon as I arrived he started work on my car. The kettle was on for a mug of tea so there was nothing else for it ... I strolled over to see the lady running the mobile catering van on the Phoenix Close Industrial Estate and partake of one of her delicious bacon buttys!

Chris did an excellent job on my car - always totally thorough and very efficient and a wealth of knowledge about anything Honda and cars in general! I took a couple of pics of my car - you can see its almost smiling with its new oil + filter!

Chris has finished his website now so if you haven't had a look yet check it out here Phoenix Close Honda Specialists | Based in Heywood, Manchester

So if you're still paying main dealer prices and are within travelling distance of Manchester then its definately time to give Chris a call - I can say 100% that you will not be disappointed and will have more £££ in your pocket than with those main dealers - Chris's prices are extremely sensible ... I can Add my voice of approval today. Chris just sorted out the leaky power steering line for me, and was very impressive doing so. We had a chat, a laugh and a good convo about my passion....old Honda's.

The job took about twice as long as it should have done, but that was my fault as I was enjoying myself  Chris is very knowledgeable and extremely happy to sit and listen to an old windbag such as myself.

He even threw in a couple of fixes for unrelated problems, such as a wobbly back bumper and even sorted out my schoolboy error after putting too much oil in after checking it while on a hill and panicking. I won't be using anyone else from now on for all my repairs.....it's just a shame he only does Honda's, and my Mazda and Hyundai would definitely benefit from a trip to see him.

Probably the best part about the trip though, was the price. I shopped around extensively for the part, and the cheapest I could find it was 165 smackers. Considering the whole job only cost 200, I would consider it a bit of a bargain.

Chris's Mum turned up half way through, and made me a brew....It's easy to see why Chris is such a good lad after speaking to his Mum for a while.

Great people, great job. Well done.

    Hi Craig,,
Good for you for pointing your Honda wheels in the direction of Chris's place. I haven't been back since my last visit when I started this thread (Sept 2012). Now that's not coz I don't like Chris - don't get me wrong great guy doing a great job - its just coz my Accord Tourer is just such a damn fine car its getting on with doing its job and not complaining about anything at the moment! And you can't beat the bacon butties from the van that parks at those industrial units to go with your cup of tea!
