I saw some of the other cars on here that had footwell lighting and thought it would look cool, especially with it being winter and the days being so much shorter.

So, taking in account my car, and the fact it will have the genuine Honda car mats set for the Civic, I thought I'd ask for your opinion on the colour to go for.

Please choose Red, Blue, or White above (I know the colours linked to are for different cars / models - it's just to give an idea on colour)

Blue as on white trainers it looks cool. Red for Type-R only. But that is me.

I went for red as I like red quite simply and I think red compliments black nicely. What looks best really depends on the car and interior colour I feel.

Footwell lights really do add a nice touch of class in my opinion.

    Blue for me.

On the latest gen MINI you can choose the colour of your ambient lighting from a selection. Pointless gimmick?

    Yes, but very entertaining!

That would drive my kids absolutely crazy - "dad - blue", "dad - green", "dad" etc etc etc

Hmmmmmm Multiple sets of LEDs connected to the same power lead, via a switch / dial.... Now that's an idea for a future project once I have the first set installed.

Blue all the way (though I'm biased). Few pics when I installed footwell lighting in my car (front + rear) - quite a few passengers with fly trainers have taken photos

Thanks for all the feedback and votes. I was torn between Red and Blue and changed my vote a few times.

Thanks @Chunkylover53 . Even though the blues have the votes, seeing it in your 6th Generation Accord, and thinking back to my Accord, I've gone ahead and ordered a set of blue LEDs. You mentioned you installed them in the rear as well. Are they ok to just get stuck on under the front seats ? Any chance you could upload some pictures of how the rears look ?

Sure thing I will get it done tonight - there were metal bars under the seats so I ended up using a cable zip to latch it on and then routed the wires under the sliding mechanism to make sure they didn't interfere with anything.

I've got a red kit for my Accord in a box under my desk at work.

But I think blue on a Civic.

EDIT: Pulled out a little cable to show where it goes - normally it can be fully hidden with little effort

For what it's worth, IMHO, blue would be better for your car.

    Thanks @Nels

I see someone voted white. I was actually thinking I might get a set of the white LEDs for the boot. The OEM light in there is shite and only on one side.

White in the boot is also my preference.
You want to clearly see what's there. Footwell lighting serves a different purpose.

@Nels , do you think these would be ok for the boot ? They're 12V so should be ok I guess, and they will be connected via the power leads from the existing boot light, so will be fused.
