Hi to everyone - i am considering purchasing a 2007 Legend fitted with LPG and was wondering if there is anything in particular to look out for on theses cars. Also does the car have a cam belt or is it chain - if belt when should this be changed and is it an expensive job?
    Many thanks in advace

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.

HondaKarma resident LPG guru here, I would first and foremost say, is to make sure that the LPG install has been done to high standard.
There's plenty of cowboy LPG installers out there and on a car like the awesome Legend you only want the best system installed by a skillful installer.

If you have an already converted Legend in mind, then please post the link to the add here and I can advise you what I think of the LPG system installed on the car.

The Legend has a cam belt.
Have a look here for the service intervals for it
Service & Maintenance - 4th Generation Honda Legend KB1 Normal Conditions Maintenance Schedule

Changing the belt is a pretty darn big job being a V6, so I expect it to be quiet costly.

They are darn fine cars though, I have plans to one day own one myself.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

Don't go back that dealer again then ! They obviously have no clue at all.

Check that service schedule I linked to even in there is says "Timing Belt"

don't let that dealer pump your car Tyres let alone near the timing belt. Your Legend has the traditional belt and it does need changing.

When you go, take a few pictures of the LPG install, tank (if visible), engine bay, filler, switch.

Find out what system it is exactly and also who installed it and when.

Hi - ok quick update - went to look - wow they are a nice car - LPG system looked well installed to my untrained eye - no butchering in the engine bay and a large 80 or 90 litre tank - a few things need doing but overall a nice looking car. Took pictures but my phone is now playing up and can't access my phot gallery !!! Technology !!! So i've got prices for cam belt change and will probably make an offer
