Got to be worth a look if you're only minutes away. Closer inspection may rule it out if it's too far gone.

On the other hand. Replacement gearbox, new brakes, tyres, service and full valet could be worth the effort.

even gone as far as suspecting it's the 5th/reverse synchro issue which may be more cost effective and future proof to repair than replace. my mind is working way too hard on what ifs!

at £300 quid it would have to be a burnt out shell for me not to buy it. no chance of that being too far gone! must resist

The worst part of it is that its perfectly affordable for me, and to repair it too, and the wife wouldn't care either way, but I am still fixing the house up and saving for a trip back home this year so I really shouldnt....

quite a common thing to do with the fog light on imports would be to relocate to the nearside reverse lamp so that's not always a good indicator

If my 4G lude was already up and running as I'd like, I'd be having this baby with no question. £300 plus transportation should be a total of about £500, for a 5G lude with only 50k on it. Initial pictures show it to be in pretty good condition, and if you get it and find it's not economical to repair, you'll easily make your money back from parts. Prelude parts are in demand, as they're getting more and more rare.

Posted Gumtree link on the Lude generation forums - wouldn't be surprised if it's snapped up quick, so for those her humming and harring about it.... get buying !!

@Nighthawk - when you going to ZA ? I'm going down for 3 weeks in July
