    HIya,

Owned 2 'tractors' (Diesel Accords Tourers !) before and now have a 2.4 Tourer (what a peach of an engine) & whilst gearchange is as smooth as silk ,quiet etc the biting point to me seems quite high (no clutch slip or bearing noise) am thinking that sooner rather than later clutch might need doing (car has done 85k with full Dealer history MOTs & Servicing)

So local dealer (ROWES in Plymouth) have quoted £640 to replace clutch and a few quid more if master cylinder .

So 2 questions...normal to have high biting point & is £640 about right?

    Thanks all ...

Seems a reasonable price to me. I would wait until the clutch is showing signs of failure though.

...I once owned an ATR...proper VTEC...gotta love the k24 for all of its smooth silky loveliness but VTEC experience is very tame!

Sounds about average to me, I would wait until it seriously starts playing up. I know a few here have done tens of thousands of miles since their clutch started slipping, let alone a high bite point
