Honda to base F1 operations in Milton Keynes, no-cost upgrades for new Seat Leon, special edition Mazda, JLR boosts sales volumes, Vauxhall Mokka to be built in Europe Honda has announced that it will base its European racing division in Milton Keynes, in preparation for its collaboration with McLaren in the 2015 F1 season. The new facility will rebuild and maintain the Honda-supplied engines and energy recovery systems.
    Seat is offering a free kit upgrade on all Leons bought before the end of September 2013. The 'Technology Pack' includes full LED headlights, sat-nav and a DAB radio. Specified separately, these options would usually cost £1915.
    A limited edition version of the Mazda MX-5, called the 'Sport Graphite', has been revealed. Costing £20,995, it's offered with special paint finishes, a choice of a 1.8-litre or a 2.0-litre petrol engine, and includes 17-inch alloys, sat-nav, colour-coded trim and unique badging.
    Jaguar Land Rover has sold 210,190 vehicles in the first six months of 2013. That represents an increase of 14 per cent compared to the same period last year. Sales are up in every major region, including China, and new models such as the F-type have been well-recieved.
    Production of the Vauxhall/Opel Mokka will begin in Spain during the second half of 2014, in order to meet increased demand for the model. The decision to produce the model in the Spanish plant, which currently produces the Corsa and Meriva, will help safeguard 5800 jobs.
