Can I get my CR-V HFT unit to display the station name rather than the just the frequency?
It should do because mine does. Perhaps a reset procedure could fix this?
Thanks for replying, don't mean to sound thick, how do I do a reset?
Thanks in advance
There is a way to do it, a combination of buttons I think. Can you help here @Ichiban?
Not sure if you'll need the code again after the reset (if it's even possible)
Bump for @Ichiban.
Does your car have Sat nav unit or without. if it does have sat nav which type is it DVD or HDD. Just need to know what unit we are dealing with first.
It's a factory sat nav unit with DVD,
Can you please run a scan then A SEL
Pressed scan then A,sel has stored stations but no station name(s),
Can you take the negative terminal off the battery for 5 minutes and then retry.
I will do but won't be able to do it just yet, is there anything else that will need doing because of the battery disconnection?
Basically you need to reset the entire unit to factory default before we attempt anything. I take it the roof antenna is plugged in and there is no damage to the antenna?
Yes, antenna in place, radio and sat nav working fine, just no station name displayed, will I need to re-enter the radio code?
Yes if will have to , sorry forgot to add that do you have that to hand.
Yes, it's in the Honda wallet, I'll try it on Friday, as I'm off work,
Thanks again and hopefully that will work, will let you know,
