Question for bikers is this stuff friendly for helmet visors?, something say they are not?

Thanks for the heads up mate.

    Don't know about visors :Unknown:
As well as the car glass, it is fab on the shower - glass and tiles :Whoosh:

Anything that makes life easier but also does a good job

Nice one, haven't tried it myself so might give it a go.

Did you notice that there are few things to mix n match in the deal....http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...3||777623||797670||&constraints=sor||Price||1

I wonder if it has any use on the inside of the windscreen. In winter up here I am usually dragging in slush or just general wetness into the car, sometimes I wake up to find a layer of frost/ICE in the morning which is a pain to remove.

I think I did once, a long time ago. Made all the condensation bead. Ok if you wipe it off, but more difficult for the fan to clear.
You may be better off with FogX ?

Ahh ok.....I saw that was in the deal too so might consider it. Its not really a big problem, just an annoyance when it happens.

Had a car once (not Honda) that was leaking water into the front foot well.
Real pain to keep drying off the inside of the screen and as you said, even worse when it was frozen.
    Fixed under warrantee.

Rainx is ok but doesn't last very long and wipers usually smear, far better products out there like Gtechniq G1/G5 for instance, more expensive granted.

    Not tried that.
Will give it a go next time.
    Thanks for the info.

I've found that once RainX has dried, and then 'polished off' with a soft clean cloth it doesn't smear.
You do need to get all the excess off though.
For me, the non-wiper glass lasts for more than a year.
The wiper contact surface need re-application before that, depending on how much the wipers have been used.

I'd forgotten all about Rain-X. Used to use it, and found it excellent - the small yellow bottle I had lasted for years!

Must get some more in time for our "Summer"

I bought some of the ready mixed Rain X glass cleaner the other day, used it on the Accord for the first time yesterday...but used it on the glass shower door a few days ago - how brilliant is that?!

    Thanks @Nels, great advice:clap:

You're welcome. I've been meaning to do the outside of the house windows too, but something else always crops up.

^^ Ha ha - me too. Did the windows at the back of the house last week, just need it to rain now so I can watch the water disappear...

Around here window cleaners fight for territory like drug dealers. I reckon get your local guy to do it for you
