Does anyone know where the rear crumple zone extends back to with the 3rd Generation CR-V? Is it before, middle or beyond the rear wheels towards the front of the car?

Fortunately, it looks like Honda have done a great job of making sure front impacts can be fully absorbed at the front (others seem to use the rear to help absorb with front impacts). But a direct hit at the rear I'm unsure of.

Need to find any 3rd Generation NCAP safety videos so you can glean that info? Have you checked our YouTube page, if it’s not there I will locate it.

Aye I watched the videos etc and was glad to see pretty much zero rear flex/crumple upon a frontal head on but I don't think I saw anything about a rear impact?

Not sure rear impact is part of NCAP, I think rear impact to asses whiplash is undertaken but I could be wrong :Unknown:
