Dealers/Garages Recommendation required

My NSX has been serviced from new at Honda dealers, I had to travel from North Yorkshire quite some distance when I wanted the Cambelt doing at a NSX approved dealer (Cheshire way). I have no plans to sell this car and it is pristine, I want to keep it that way and so am happy to go with a specialist that has experience with this sort of car whether Honda dealer or not.

So - does anyone have a recommendation of somewhere that is not over 100 miles away from me?

York is my closest, but they once used the incorrect oil in my Gen1 Insight, so not sure I trust them with the NSX.

I did have a decent specialist localism to me, who has looked after my other cars for years and been good - but he seriously ripped off my partner with a massive bill for his Accord CDTi despite being told that the car was to be sold once serviced and all sorted.

I don't have the pleasure of owning a car as rare and special as yours but I think if I did, I would use the main dealers and not use an independant but then I am incredibly untrustworthy of garages.

@Ichiban is a much better person to be able to advise you in relation to this.

Hi Nighthawk ... problem is there used to be certain Honda dealers that were NSX dealers, numbers dropped till there were only 6 with Two Mills being my closest (a long way from here).
Those dealers had mechanics trained to work on the NSX. Much of it is in fairness just the same as any other car, and for a normal service, a usual 'fitter' is fine. But for a cam belt or new clutch for example, I really would like someone who has worked on the NSX or at least other mid-engined cars.

A specialist could well be better than a Honda dealer if they have more experience. I have full Honda service history all stamped up - but I still would go to where it will be best served. I don't mind a bit of a travel to get best service, but I just don't have the time to go coast to coast for it these days.

Fair enough, I do not know enough about NSX's so I will just stay quiet...

I hope you find what you are looking for.

    Hi Sam,

Its a catch 22 situation as you have rightly pointed out NSX used to have preferred dedicated NSX dealers. Since its no longer produced these dealers are just continuing the best they can. However you have a lot of NSX enthusiasts who offer their services like NSXCB Forums check out Kaz-kzukNA1 blog section :Thumbup:Eng Refresh, Health Check, etc 20 - Blogs - NSXCB Forums New

The problem I have seen a lot of NSX technician in the Honda dealership environment have A left and moved on B don't see enough cars to keep keep themselves sharp. I am afraid with the NSX you need the best person touching the car not a Sunday warrior and you will have to travel.
