    Hi

I want to give the rear jacking point/tow hook several coats of POR-15 (the stuff they use on ships), and then several layers of paint, to protect against rust.

However, I need to get the plastic cover of, which is held in by 2 bolts which should be easy to remove.

However the 2 clips (near the rear bumper), can't see an easy way to remove them. I don't want to break them.

Any ideas how they come out?
Is there a special tool that's required.

    Thanks

The centre pin needs to be pulled outwards. Once you have done it the outer ring just pulls out.

    They look like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400707659202

Always a good idea to keep a spare pack incase you break a few.

There are specialist pliers for this but if its a once off then its not worth buying a set.
