Anyone know how to remove silicone sealant from car paint, that won't damage the paint.
Last owner of my motor went nuts with the silicone sealing up the back lights, rear washer jet when it had snapped among other things, but they made a right mess of it.

pick as much as you can off then use a tar and glue remover like Autosmart tardis and the likes

Thanks, I've got silicone sealer remover in work, but its meant for tiles, so not sure if its any good for paint to be honest, IIRC its Geocell stuff.

White spirit might work. It's good at getting glue off paintwork.

Aha, I used it to get some adhesive from an old sat nav off my dash, some sticky pad off the bathroom tiles and all sorts. One of those useful things to have around the house

Extremely safe no problems at all with any painted surface on the car. Just have loads of lint free cloths to pick up the black residue as in not smear it around as you pick it up .
