    Hi everyone,
Just bought 05 accord and one of the indicator lens gone completely yellowish, can any one help on how to take it off safely so i can give a it good wash to put some sanity back to it. Or if there is thread about how to take it off then a link will be ok. Thanks in advance.

I replaced one a couple of years back. I just followed my nose.

Pull the plastic cover off on the inside of the door, this should reveal some bolts.
Remove bolts, mirror comes loose, disconnect wires.

    Fitting is reverse of removal.

CJ, do you have an exploded diagram of how the mirror is atteched to the door ?

I think OP just wants to replace led indicator strip, not whole mirror.
I think manual says its s dealer job.

Ah yes, see it now. Speedy was speed reading Lol.

Dealer job ? why is it a dealer job ? Intriguing !

    Probably really awkward to replace.

If it can't be fixed easily, maybe worth getting a complete second hand mirror anyway matching your cars colour. I think you can get them for abour £50.

Before you go in heavy into hardware mode and stripping and changing parts, have you slapped the mirror hard  On my 2004 tourer I had same and as you was fearing the worst.

Before I removed anything I gave it hard knock on the outer covering long behold it started to work and never once stopped working again.

I didn't take it further to why it happened just carried on!

Woah! Thanks for all those replies - just what I needed.

Ichiban - the strip does need replacing as it looks knackered from water ingress and is visibly amber (the other side is clear and doesn't look like it has seen any water inside).

    I'll update my profile now.

    Re: wing mirror indicator lens

I think its all clipped on but not certain, there maybe some screws on the inside, behind the mirror.

CJ, do you have any diagrams showing how it is fitted to the mirror assembly ?
