    Hi Guys
Here's another question I'm hoping somebody can help with.
    As the title might suggest.
How much weight can the roof bars on a 2003 2.4 Ex Tourer take?
I will be using an aftermarket set of roof bars (not genuine Honda)
    I'm looking at putting on 8x 8'x8"x1" (8x 2.4mx0.2mx0.025m) pieces of pine.

    Cheers Lads
    Martin.

Hi Martin , You got the the silver accessory roof rails? the after market roof bars do they mount on the top roof edge without the need for roof rails?

    Hi CJ
They are just a set of universal roof bars that fit onto the roof rails.
I originally bought them for my now dead and buried Audi A6 Quattro Avant (Estate)

I know my roof bars have a 50kg rating but they aren't OEM ones. I'm not sure if its actually the bars or the car that sets the limit.

    Thanks guys.
I have read on another forum that some people say it's only around 30kgs and some say 75kgs.
I did put a Roof bag and a gazebo onto the roof bars/roof rack on the audi last year with no problems, and those rails only have 2 contact points onto the roof.
I have noticed the Accord has 3 , 1 above the A post, 1 above the B post, and then 1 further back, so shouldn't be to bad.
I'll post the results after Saturday.

    Cheers
    M

    Hi Guys
I never got to try the roof rack , as all of the wood went into the car.
Rear seats down and all of the 8 1/2" pieces of wood fitted straight in. So bravo for the voluminous size of the car.

The joys of owning a Tourer, When i bought my dishwasher in 2004 I saved 45 quid in delivery it went straight into the boot of my car.

I am sure in Jazz you can get two in easily..
