The 2012 Honda sat nav disc 08A42-1J6-040 is now available on the Navteq website for £175.

Anyone know when the Honda dealers will get them?

I often wonder what differences there are between the different years. It's a shame you can't just download the extra bits!

Good question mate, only the SSD are updated on the fly via the internet onto the SSD the older generation of sat nav have to reply on DVD. I would gaurantee the 9th Generation sat nav will be SSD route. SSD =Solid State Drives

According to Navteq these are the following changes made to the version 3.52 DVD in the UK, they also have made huge changes in other EU countries

    UK:
new bypasses and motorway sections such as on: A1, A46, A55, A605, A628, A6021 the extension of the A6192 now bypassing Staveley the Llandysul bypass to improve the accessibility to and from the A48 and the M4 the new Howard Street Bridge
A46: routing now continues over the M40 and bypasses the Longbridge, junction 15
Metro and Cribbs Causeway shopping centers: improved navigation to entrances, car parks and
stores within the shopping centres as well updated routing to/out of the areas

    the other difference are

    POI

    United Kingdom

    Previous release 203177

    Current (3.60) release 384403

Total Changes 181226 now that is a lot of change.

Coverage of TMC and House Number Address Range is now at a 100% penetration

Traffic Message Channel Version is version 5.1

I know what you mean, I suppose it depends how up to date you need to be, mine is the 2005-2006 disc so I reckon a few changes will have happened since then.

No worries mate, happy to pay for a reasonably up to date version, but it's not a priority & the current one does the job.
