Talking of sexist cars, how about the Ford Probe?

i have always liked the puma for some reason, and for £265 with an MOT, it at least should win the best value for money prize

Far from the cheapest, but certainly for the money one of the nicest all round cars on the road that hasn't dated badly

A friend of mine buys cars like this all the time - cheap as chips, runs it until MOT time then, depending on outcome of MOT decides whether to keep it, sell as spares or repair or scrap it. Think it's called bangernomics.

Not for me because I've got young kids and need something safe and reliable but I can see the attraction of it.

Many years ago there was a magazine devoted to that approach (early 1990s I guess).

    It was called Jalopy.

There are a few others who also vaguely remember it, having had a quick search on the web...

I can't do a link at the moment, but if you go into Google images and type in 'Sexist Sherpa Van advert' see the 1970s genius from BL that pops up...:Innocent:

Strap line 'Like a lot of things in life, our Sherpa's vital statistics are its best asset.'

oooohhhh... why I oughta smack you for that. :fence:

I had an MX6... the Probe is a poorer built, inferior, ugly piece of trash that simply uses the same platform because Ford couldn't make good cars of that quality,
